A long time ago, I put a picture online of a woman with the message “I’m just going to leave this here”. When I posted it, I knew that people were going to make fun of her boobs because they looked like uncooked yams. Was I dead ass wrong for that shit? Yes, I was.

Did I have my day of reckoning with karma? Yes, I did. Some insufferable cunt antagonized me about my daughters uncombed hair for 3 hrs on Twitter. The shit was annoying and it angered me more for my daughter than anything. The Bug did not deserve to be the butt of any jokes coming from some grown fools.

However, what goes around comes around. Sometimes it does not JUST affect you either. Needless to say I learned my lesson. It is not harmless fun to pick at people JUST because we do not know them. These are real people, regardless of what we tell ourselves so we can be the epitome of all things asshole online and then go back to our “nice” selves when we log off.

People use the term “in real life” as if everything we post on the internet is not documented in REAL TIME. ALL of this interaction is REAL, with REAL people, doing and saying things that will affect us IN REAL LIFE. So when someone is bullying our children, maybe it is the universes way of telling us to watch how we treat other people too. Expecting people to give a damn about our kid is wishful thinking. THIS is a place where people log on JUST to have a good time by being mean to others so they can get a good laugh for the day.

It is all fun and games until we/our family members are the subject of “harmless fun”.

This was not in reference to the recent events with Dream Hampton’s daughter. I do not follow her timeline to know the details of that situation, nor if she picks at random strangers online. I do KNOW that some of us are not as nice as we expect people to be to us though…
